With the stroke of a pen today, President Trump just neutered the EPA’s totalitarian dream of controlling every river, lake, mud puddle, ditch and rain gutter in America.
This will have positive effects for small miners. Many may recall we stood up to the EPA for several years in Northern Idaho on the SF Clearwater River. They threatened us with imprisonment, fines of $37,500 per day, just for legally dredging our mining claims.
The SF Clearwater is a non-navigable waterway and with this new Executive Order, they do NOT have jurisdiction over that small river and cannot threaten the small miners with their jack-booted methods of shutting down the dredgers.
