Colorado is now challenging the Feds over road closures

We here at AMRA strive to educate our followers, members and friends on what their rights are.

If you do not know what RS2477 is, you need to.

RS2477, a subpart of the 1866 Mining Grant states roads must remain open. Just a few years ago, Utah challenged the Federal government’s assertion that they could willy-nilly close any roads they wanted and the Feds lost big time in a unanimous decision by the Utah Supreme Court.

This is yet another example of a county pushing back agains that ideology of our Federal government thinking they own the roads, when they don’t, YOU DO.

Roads which predate 1976 (and the formation of FLPMA) must remain open.

AMRA is working on this very issue……..

Oh, and we have a meeting today in Sacramento with the Department of Fish and Wildlife on suction dredging for California.
